Definitions (5-8)

Witness - A person in a courtroom who is called to the stand to explain something they have seen or heard that is valid information, and contributes to the case.

Indict - To accuse someone of wrongdoing.

Testify - When someone witnesses, telling something they heard or said that can change the case.

Grand Jury - A Jury of 12-23 people who Jury to a private court.
Due Process - When Justice is dealt based off the rules that say that life or liberty cannot be taken from a person.


Capital Punishment - The strongest punishment for crime that can be given. The Death Penalty

Excessive - Damages exceeding normal limits.

Bail - When a criminal is convicted of a felon and put into Jail, Bail is paid in monetary value to have them released.

Peer - A indifferent person (Member of the Jury) in living in the same area of the accused.
